New server can not find HDHomeRun Scribe 4k

Server Version#: 1.28.2.6106

Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun Scribe 4k Model: HDVR-4K-1TB
Device ID: 1540214E
Firmware: 20220203

When trying to setup livetv-dvr it is reported “We couldn’t find any hardware we recognize, but will continue to look for available devices.”

When I enter the IP manually I get “There was a problem adding the device: 10.1.1.60”

This is the known good address of the tuner.

Plex Server is on a QNAP NAS with the latest version sideloaded.

What now? Ideas anyone?

Update: I added a server to a Windoze machine and it worked fine. It must be on the QNAP. Next I’ll try using a container.

  • Is the QNAP on the same IP Net as the HDHomeRun?
  • Please show us the output of the following SSH command ifconfig

Thanks for the reply. Plex Server preferred network set to qvs0 or qvs1. Same results on either.

I find it a bit odd that on the Add Tuner screen it recognizes that I’m attempting to connect a HDHOMERUN manually. There has to be some communication or how would it know what the device is?

You have multiple interfaces on the same IP Net, AFAICT, so this will not work!

Thanks, Solved
