I asked this the other day, but I’m afraid I phrased it incorrectly.
I just picked up the WinTV DualHD tuner and plex doesn’t see it.
I use a windows pc as my Plex server and the tuner’s software is also installed on that machine. I also have the tuner plugged into that same machine. I know it should find it, but for some reason it doesn’t.
I have tried restarting with no luck. I know it’s recognized by the computer because it works directly with the Hauppauge software and because I can see it in device manager.

What version of Plex Media Server are you running. Go to Settings/Server to find the version.
I don’t recall which version that specific tuner was added but think it was 1.7.2 when Live TV was introduced so you need to update. Either download update from website or change update channel in Web app to get Plex Pass updates there. (Settings>Server>General>Update Channel)

Works now, thanks so much! I didn’t realize I needed to switch that over when I started the Plex Pass. Nor did I realize that non-pass users have to wait longer to get new releases. Thanks!!!

Wow, thank you for this. I had the same problem and have been trying to figure it out for a couple weeks. This was exactly what I needed!
