Starting today my Plex server is no longer seeing my Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD tuner so I can’t access Live TV and DVR through Plex. WinTV sees it fine and will play TV so I know that the tuner is working fine. I have tried stopping and starting Plex and restarting the computer running it but no luck.
I’ve got the same issue going on with my HDHomeRun Extend tuner not being seen by my Plex Media Server. It just started today. Not sure if there was an update loaded on Plex or the Windows 10, but haven’t found a fix yet. I did a restart on the computer, router, and tuner, and none of those worked. What’s weird is that if I install Plex media server on a computer I’ve never loaded a server before, then it will find the tuner. That won’t work for me though, since my main machine that has all the media is not seeing the tuner. I can use the HDHomeRun app and view television from the computer that is the usual server, but the server still doesn’t see the tuner. Plex server version 1.24.3.5033.

Not sure if this will help you too, but I was able to get Plex to start seeing my HDHomerun tuner by stopping the server, deleting the registry keys, and reinstalling the latest server app. Here’s some steps on deleting the registry keys: Uninstall Plex Media Server | Plex Support. You can backup the registry keys before deleting it, which I’d recommend just in case. I did not delete my LOCALAPPDATA directory. If you keep that there, then there’s a good likelihood that reinstalling the server will keep all of your programming recording preferences and the libraries that you’ve already set up. Worked for mine, hopefully it works for your Hauppage.
This didn’t work for me. Deleted registry key and reinstalled Plex. Curiously the registry key didn’t come back after reinstall or running the app (it’s still not there) and I still can’t see the Hauppauge.
Finally got Plex to see the Hauppauge by stopping Plex, deleting the entire Plex data directory, and restarting Plex. Pretty frustrating nuclear option since I then had to recreate all my libraries, scan all my files, and lost all watching history…
