Plex cant play due missing codec ENCV?

Hi guys .

First time I encountered this codec error.

ENCV codec . Is it possible to add this codec?

Tried to playback via web browser ( Safari ) .

ENCV doesn’t match anything I know.

Did you mean nvenc ?

if you’re sure it’s ENCV, may I see the server DEBUG logs which capture this and the Media Info ?

Im pretty sure. My wife even read it to me earlier .

We saw the codec info when I checked “Get info” on the file via Plex.

I can try to make a debug tomorrow ( home late though )

Can I pm the logs somehow to you?

ENCV is the ISO Common Encryption scheme for MP4 containers. Its AES-128 encrypted.

PMS does not process encrypted videos
