Plex changing sort order on it's own?

So I’ve got just about all of my old media from my JBOD on the server and it’s been scanned and all that good stuff.

I want the James Bond movies(not including the original Casino Royal and Never Say Never Again) sorted in release order under Bond xx. So Dr No is Bond 01, and all the way up to Spectre which is Bond 24 for the Sort titles.

So as I was fixing all the new library updates (adding ~100 movies at a time) I set the Sort Titles as I went and changed posters and back grounds.

Yesterday I was scrolling through the beautiful library of movies and the Bond section only had about half of the movies. So I tracked down the ones sorted under the movie name and fixed them to sort in the order I want.

Just this afternoon I was scrolling through the beautiful library again, and BAMM! About a third of the Bond movies have gone back to being sorted by title. I fixed them, but I know this is something Plex did since it was perfect the day before!

How do I fix this so that it doesn’t happen again?

Settings - Server - Library - ‘Empty trash automatically after every scan’ <-- DISABLE

See if this changes anything. If it no longer resets your movies, then your media file storage is not very reliable and may react too slow at times.

I don’ think there’s anything that would be a bottle neck with my server, but I did unselect that and I’ll see what happens tomorrow.

This is not about bottle necks.
This about for instance your drives going to sleep and waking up too slowly.

It was good for a few days, so for Science! I changed it back and I haven’t had any issues with sorted titles unsorting themselves.
