I was having no issues streaming from from my PMS to my chromecast until I installed Private Internet Access VPN.
Now whether the VPN is ON or OFF I cannot steam from the server. I can still cast to tab to the chromecast. I presume this is because the chromecast can no longer see the server, but how can I fix this issue?
The fix is to not use a VPN. The CC needs the server to be on the internet.
You could sync the content to your local device like your phone. Then when you try to play it remotely it would go from your phone instead of the PMS.

Thats for the reply Mav. That answer is OK.
But the issue is ever since I installed the VPN even if it is not on (i even tried installing it) I still cannot get a connection from my chromecast to the plex server :'(
