Ok thanks! Sounds like we are getting somewhere. Most DVRs have a user setting for pause/buffer length for live TV. Would that be a difficult setting to add? I usually prefer 2-3 hours.

I have confirmed with a dev that there is timeout set for 10 minutes. I do not have any info on this will change or if it can be user settable. I would suggest making a feature request so we can guage how many people would be interested in this.

If playback crashes, then it IS a bug. Because the error is not being handled. I am sorry, but you cannot argue on this. And I work in IT as well. Still, I understand the way to go for it to change. I just cannot agree with the process.

Has anyone tried the beta? Crashing after a long pause was fixed for me as of 8.15.0.23515 on FireOS.
