I have just bought a pass and am disappointed, no plex client for the raspberry pi 3. I tried rasplex and its extremely unstable on a pi3, touch the keyboard and it crashes. My new samsung smart tv has decided to hang on the plex app and I and getting very frustrated,

PMP is also available for the RasPi3.
Use the image for the Raspberry Pi 2.
The folks over at the Rasplex board are quite helpful. You should ask for thoughts on the erroneous behaviour of your Pi3 there too.
It could very well be, that your issues are caused by a wonky power adapter or an unsuitable/counterfeit SD card.
Which would then gain you similar results when you try PMP on the device.
