Just so I'm clear on this. This is not for Windows 7 64bit - correct?
Au contraire mon frere! I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on my machines. This is purely agnostic as it's all in .Net.
-dave :-)
Thanks for looking into that and fixing it Dave!

Well THAT’S no good! Would you please reproduce it and then send me your Plex Media Server.log file? ~/Library/Logs/Plex Media Server.log. You can get me directly at dave(at)rensin(dot)com.

ANNOUNCING PLEX CLIENT FOR WINDOWS BETA 1.5
Now with more transcoding, full screen hulu, support for Plex .strm files, and general stability enhancements.
You can get it at its’ usual location, here…
As always, feedback is deeply appreciated!
-dave
I’m having an issue,
After watching a movie for a while, it stops and does not continue.
I attached a screen shot of the command line window.

Would this be happening because the mac that is transcoding the movie can’t keep up?
Which logs should I pull/look at to figure out why this is happening?
Very possible... ~/Library/Logs/Plex Media Server is the log I need the next time you get this error. Please try not to do anything else with Plex after you get this error and pull the log. You can send it to me at dave(at)rensin(dot)com.
-dave
ps. You're using my latest client, right?
Sent you a mail with the logs and other info.
Hi.
Awesome project it looks great and im sure it will really good when finished.
My observations below are from a user standpoint since Im not a programmer in any form
Here are my findings form some quick testing
Library
Im seeing a problem with it being extremely slow, going through the menus till I actually gets to the media is fast but when the list of movies comes up it can take 30-90 sec to change from one to another movie, that is for list with only 8 movies opening my main movie library with ~190 movies is even slower.
Playback
regular playback is good.
I can not toggle between full screen and window when playing.
when fast forwarding it takes some time for the audio and video to sync up again.
I hope my finding can be of use for your further development.
Regards
Jesper
Hey Jesper,
Glad you’re enjoying it.
To toggle fullscreen mode, just tap the F key.
I know about the audio video sync. I’m working on it, but it may be somewhat out of my hands as an artifact of HTTP Live Streaming. I’m looking into it.
I certainly would appreciate suggestions as you have them!
-warmest,

This is an awesome app for the PC. Great job!
Maybe I got lucky to get this latest version but everything I tried worked, except for searching… No crashes so far.
A request would be an option to “remember” your main server (or have a way to hard code this) and an option to control quality of the video. As far as I could tell, it’s not using the best quality of trascoding.
Almost forgot: The mouse cursor stays on the screen during the movie.
positiv
start with -last-server option to connect to your last server. Working on a video quality setting as we speak.

Hi Dave,
absolutely great job, thanks for sharing with us…
One question if i might please?
Whilst i got all my movies and video plugins via the Win client, i don’t see the Music plugins??
Point of interest for me is the iTunes plugin as music scanning with Plex .9 is still in shambles ;-).
Have i missed anything with the install of the Win client?
thanks!
no. You haven't missed anything. I haven't tackled Music yet.

Hi,
Any minimal requirements?
I installed this on my Medion E1222 netbook, works but with some hickups.
Operating plex is lagging somewhat, also video stutter, could be a memory problem
Looks great BTW, keep it up!!
Marc
I've got it on an old Acer Aspire One netbook and it seems to work fine - especially after I added the live buffering. So I really hadn't considered minimums. So far that biggest factor I can see is the network connection between the PC and the Plex Server.
-dave
Hi.
Update to my previous test.
the library lag was not an issue when i tried it last time so this might have been something funky on my network or PC client. it was actually a quite pleasant experience.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks
Jesper
The best bug us the one that fixes itself!

Where do I enter this option?
What I wanted to do is skip the first screen where plex asks which server to connect and go straight to my preferred IP server...
