Plex client is recognizing local server as remote. Everything transcoing

The subject says it all save that I saw this before a year or two ago and worked with the dev to resolve. It’s happening again, and my shows are unwatchable.

  1. Client version: 2.14.1.70
  2. Platform: XB1
  3. Verified that my server is listed as remote.
  4. When I manually specify the local address of the server, the server shows up as “nearby” in the “Media Server Status” menu but the transcoding behavior doesn’t go away.

Please advise.

Could you enable logging in the app, reproduce the issue and then post server logs here? Thanks.
