Plex client you didn't know existed

It occurred to me today that there is a Plex client (kinda) that many may not have thought about before and some may find useful.

About a year ago I bought a wireless HDMI system for the main TV in the living room. I wanted to keep my pretty 60" Plasma on the wall sans bundles of cables and boxes underneath and move all those components into a closet. After purchasing several options I found the Actiontech system which is fantastic - every day I turn my TV on marvel at the magic of wireless HDMI. Anywho… I knew this system (and others are as well) was expandable with additional transmitters and receivers but never got around to buying an additional receiver until now. With the additional receiver, I can transmit to a second TV either on it’s own or in unison with another set.

With this method I can control my media server connected to the main TV and Plex entirely via my Phones, Tablets, Media Server or Harmony Remote and send the video to any or all TV’s in the house with a receiver connected, with direct play quality and sound. It’s making me rethink having a separate box (Roku, GTV, ATV) in each room as I currently do.

Thought someone might find this option useful, it’s only just occurred to me now that I have multiple Wireless HDMI Receivers. It’s not the solution for everyone of course, but something to think about.

That's one way to look at it - basically allowing you to send one source to many locations individually or all together.  The way I'm using it, it's connected to the main HDMI out on my receiver with 8 HDMI connections, so 8 different sources can go through it to any TV or TV's in the house.

The Actiontech is $199 for the set, which includes 1 transmitter and 1 receiver.  Additional transmitters and receivers are $99.  I used several boxes before deciding on this particular one and while I recommend it based on my use, others may find other solutions work as well or better in their environment.
