Plex Cloud Offline & Manual Server

Hello,

I’m a newbie.

Today I tried to connect Plex web app on my Tv Sony KDL32. Even if my login was recognized I Have the msg “Plex Cloud is offline” offering me to add manual Ip servers. But my Cloud Server is currenlty active!

I need to watch my movies on google drive in the Smart tv. Any idea how to resolve ?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Can you provide the full model number? There are several models that fall under what you provided. My hunch off the top of my head is that you have a Sony TV running our Plex for Smart TV app. These Sony TV’s do not support secured connections, which is needed to access Plex Cloud.

If you have a local Plex Media Server, you can test this by setting the security value for your local PMS to required and see if you TV can connect to it.

The model is the SONY KDL 32WD753 and yes, I am running the Plex For Smart Tv App inside Opera TV and the message I gave was that my TV does not support secured connections.

Unfortunately I do not have any local Plex Media Server, I need just the Cloud.

Well, there you go. If Plex Cloud is your only server, you may want to invest in a set-top box that can run Plex with a secure connection.
