I’ve had 10 TB of data in Amazon Cloud Drive now for a year and would love to give this a try. Put in my request on the day it came out. Help me out Plex!

Damn I’m only at 7TB up and 20TB locally.

Is the library that’s on Amazon able to be shared with friends like local libraries?

Yes it is shareable just like local libraries

Each server login ID (Pass or non-Pass) is allowed 100 friends to share with for the entire ID. So if you have 2 servers, you can have 50 users per server. (Or any combination up to 100 total.) Managed Users are limited to 15 per login ID, I believe, as well.

So the Cloud service counts as a server and the local PMS install counts as a server. So that means duplicating your users for both servers double dips your friends against the 100 total.

Unless Plex is going to do something different with the Plex Cloud than they do with other cloud storage methods they have already implemented, you could run out of potential users fairly easily. (Local server, Plex Cloud (Beta) and other Cloud services would count as three servers. So triple dipping against the 100 total…)

The Team implemented the 100 user total to eliminate people charging for Plex access. For a lot, this worked pretty well. Those advertising their servers put up a fuss right away, and then we haven’t heard much from them since. But this limit is still in place, so be forewarned if you implement more than one server type with the same login ID.
