This would motivate me to commit to a lifetime Plex Pass and unlimited storage on Amazon.
yeah guys, where is my invite. show some love
lol
I was wondering the same thing spent the last two days uploading my library to Amazon Drive
Invites have been going out.
Plex started very small and have been slowly inviting more users.
Plex will continue to invite more over the course of the beta.
People anxious to get in and investing time and money getting their data ready – that is a good problem for a growing business to have!
Excited to be part of this beta. I have almost a 2 TB library that i share with multiple family members. I don’t have enough bandwidth for the users I have. Please send me the invite
Specifically signed up for Plex Pass to get into this beta thinking it was for pass subs only…Amazon isn’t going to like the amount of data I’m about to upload…
Right now I don’t think that Plex needs or wants more folks in the beta, The small group currently testing seems more than able to break enough to keep the developers well entertained.
I believe when the amount of breakage drops below a reasonable threshold or they need to load the servers to get more robust testing they will add testers.
Sometimes I wonder if being in the beta is a blessing or a curse.
Why are they not issuing invites by first come first served, I applied for an invite 2 days before my brother who relieved his today and yet i have not had a invite yet.
At this rate might as well cancel plex pass and go with kodi
Would love to get bumped up the que - purchased amazon storage as well!
Does anyone know if we can start to upload our collection now or will plex upload it in a certain format?

The uploading is not done by Plex, so yes you can, if you want, upload media now.
Just follow standard Plex naming guidelines as Plex Cloud uses the same scanners
I’d imagine each time they add users they are adding a significant more work than before. Since they announced plex cloud everyone’s been dumping to amazon invited or not yet. Because of this each time new users are added the amount of content they were able to get preloaded is greater than the last group who is probably still uploading and increasing in usage significantly everyday.
The thought of unlimited storage makes the digital hoarding monkey on my back go beserk.

I did the same and i signed up for amazon also. I still have no invite
The way I see it is I have 9 terabytes to upload and for some reason uploading to amazon is extremely slow. as much as I would love to have plex cloud server right now most of my media hasn’t been uploaded yet
I’ve had a manually synced version for about 6 months now. Would love to try this out to see how it compares to my ACD CLI cron based setup
All my data is in ACD and waiting for the invite. Checking every day.
Subscribed to ACD and am also working on slowly uploading content. And I do mean slowly. Come on invite.
Just like u folks I am in the same boat, at least one of the mods please provide info to curious users like myself and others who are actively waiting for a welcome email… I am loyal plex pass and amazon user for last few years… this is a perfect media in the cloud opportunity for folks like us who can save on drive space… hardware… power…cooling and management and backup nightmare …
Looking forward and hopeful to get an invite soon

There are already several threads already that both ninja’s and plex employee’s have answered.
Beta is being rolled out slowly in groups. Right now due to Amazon’s API things have almost gone to a halt, until Amazon fixes these issues, Plex Cloud is kinda in standby mode.
Because of this, Beta invites are not going out as fast as they intended to.
Just to give you guys a heads up on whats been happening.
– Server’s shutting down randomly and not coming back online - partially fixed.
– Scanning issues with adding items, trailers and extras being auto added into the library and unable to be deleted.
– Trancoding issues with playback - seems mostly fixed now.
– Casting not currently working.
– No plugin support
– No subtitle support
– Heavy rate limiting on Amazon, which is leading to errors and long library prescans.
– Issues with music library - long library scans
– Issues with scanning metadata
Thanks for the update bud
