Plex Commercial Skipper causing 100% recording bug

Hi all,

Ever since the update from 1.12.x to 1.13.x, commercial skipping has caused the 100% recording bug. I’ve reinstalled Plex, repaired it, etc, but haven’t been able to get any recordings with commercial skip to complete. If I kill the Plex Commercial Skip.exe process, the postprocessing bat file completes immediately and the recording moves from the .grab folder into the library.

Is everyone here having an a similar issue?

Thanks! Will.

I can’t record anything right now…they ALL fail. I’m going to try to deselect the option to remove commercials.

Upgraded from 1.12 to 1.13 this morning and since 10 am it recorded 25 shows and only 9 have finished post processing. Prior to the upgrade it would complete fairly quickly (never timed it since it did not take very long). Guess I’ll move back to 1.12 till this gets fixed.

I moved back to 1.12 and the post processing finishes within 10 - 15 minutes (had several recordings finish at the same time so probably faster if just one is being processed). So definitely is an issue with 1.13.

The latest build of 1.13.1 does not fix the problem - when I dug through the server logs, there isn’t even a log for the file stuck at the 100%. @genelinne, where did you find the download link for 1.12? I don’t have the installer any longer :frowning:

What information does Plex require to troubleshoot this bug? Are they investigating it? Are they working on it?
