For Plex they are considered the same actor. Every time I update the metadata of a movie with one of the two, all the movies of both are assigned to the last one that was uploaded. Plex can’t detect that they are different actors, although the angles take the data from sources (imdb and tmdb) in which these actors are quite distinct

and Earl Brown in Deadwood is in the ethereal plane between life/death and Plex… and he lost the top part of his head in a horrible farming accident… like thousands of other Actors who met Plex’s Head Chopper 9000.
There are quite a few like that we found over the years…
Plex only stores the URL for an actor by name once, If that name is used in different movies/shows it pulls the same picture. So if you change that picture somewhere it then shows up everywhere.
Plex needs to better identify actors as other database managers do.
