Plex Connect, Apple TV 3 and WD My Book Live

Hi,

 

Appologies if this has already been answered, i have looked around but cannot find the answer and am very new to this.

 

I have an Apple TV 3 and a WD My Book live (NAS Drive). The NAS drive holds all of my music and movies. To play a movie from the NAS drive to the TV im using a 3rd party app on my iPad then connecting it to the Apple TV 3 which is very long winded.

 

If i were to use Plex Connect does that mean a menu will appear on the apple Tv 3 where it will connect to my NAS drive and play movies?

 

Any help would be appreciated
