Plex constantly loses connection to remote server

PMS Server Version#: 1.16.6.1592
Player Version#: 2.42.0 (Win7)
Server: 192.168.1.100 - Win2012R2
pfSense FW: 2.4.4

I am having a recurring connectivity issue with PMS. It repeatedly and randomly loses remote access / the stream fails. Sometimes the stream hangs (buffering indefinitely) at the 1 hour mark, sometimes it lasts longer. Servers show up properly as Remote and functions as it should. Every time the stream fails, 30 seconds before in the logs it show the same errors. I have made the problem as simple as possible trying to figure this out. I included some log entries that look related to the issue, hopefully someone can help me out.

  • UPnP & NAT-PMP are disabled (confirmed this in pfSense)
  • Sever’s IP is statically assigned outside of the DHCP pool range
  • Only one NAT and rule configured:
    NAT:

Same issue for me as of last night.

Was working fine then connection was cut from all users (as I was watching on TV upstairs).

Connects then bounces to disconnected on server. No changes were made to network config and never saw any windows updates.

Does Plex support ever answer a question with a definitive answer? Every time they update my remote server F’s up.

Do they ever take responsibility because I’ve seen NO resolution to any issue they cause except for a bunch of technical jargon that not everyone can understand. It’s infuriating

Seen as for some reason i can’t start a new topic, i am having to add to this one as i am getting a very similar issue were PMS on Windows 10 will load up and after about 20 seconds the server will just close itself down. This has only started happening today. The server was running fine all this week but now as i mentioned will just close by itself and cannot figure out why. It feels like Plex is just becoming to buggy for me at the minute, which is a shame as really like it.

Was this topic ever resolved? Having a very similar issue.
