It seems as if whenever I install something onto my desktop SERVER, plex always disconnects from my installed drivers. I don’t know how else to explain it. I install a program, and Plex always gives me this screen when I try to connect after, on every device, computer, roku, ios, smartTV, etc…
I am always deleting and re-downloading the file for plex, and that to is getting old.
what sort of things are you installing? have you tried just restarting server app rather than uninstall/reinstall? Do you have any anti-virus or similar that is running that you might need to whitelist plex in?
Nothing major. Drivers for printer, Blu-ray software, etc. However, this happens quite often, not just when I install something. It is getting old having to constantly have this issue.
I have logged out and logged back in, and still same message on my server tab in settings.
no anti-virus, just ProtonVPN and I don’t see a place for me to add it to a whitelist, or any list.
Another day, and the same notification. This is getting old quickly.
I’m not sure if you mean logging out of computer or PMS. Have you tried just restarting PMS rather than uninstalling it?
We would likely need to see the server logs right after whatever happens to cause it to become unavailable
Same here i have to reinstall server every time i turn off my computer…
