Server keeps dropping

Server Version#: Version 1.40.1.8227
Player Version#:
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

My server keeps going down and I’m not sure why. I have to reinstall the latest version just to get it to recognize my files. Why is this happening? I never had this problem before but it is happening all the time now.

Server Version#:1.40.2.8395 (DSM 7)
For some weeks, I’m experimenting systematic server disconnections. It simply disapear from my account.
Impossible to reconnect. The only way to get it back is to totally uninstall Plex and reinstall it. Then I can claim it again and it stays accessible and working for a few hours… and disapear again. Nothing has been done on the setup, and for years I haven’t had any issues and everything worked properly. But now, Plex became just unusable… Very disapointing.

Like it is not appearing at https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms ?

Yes. The server is marked as offline (although it is not) or not displayed at all.

Looking at your account it show the server keeps being removed manually in Plex Web from a location in one city and added at a location in another.

Is that you remoting into your server device from a different location to do the uninstall?

Thanks for your support.
Where can I find those kind of logs ? The server has disapeared from my web account and is disconnected from the desktop application.

Maybe that’s because I’m using a VPN. Could it be that ? If so, how can it be removed automatically ?

Server logs link has info on how to get them manually off the device

Why does this keep happening mine keeps going down and I have to reinstall it to have it recognize my server again. This is becoming a pain. Thanks for any help.

Again my server dropped from my account… It’s not even tagged as disconnected (although it’s not), but it’s not even there. Disappeared, vanished, nothing.
I’m pretty fed up with Plex…
I have the bad feeling that I’m bound to the good will of Plex regarding my own nas plex server. For a reason or another, as soon as I try to reach it from outside my local network… it’s kicked of my account by plex. And then… even in local network it’s not reachable anymore.

I have then to uninstall plex from my synology nas… reinstall it from scratch (and get a claim token), And again… when I try to connect from another source, it pops out and I have to redo the process again and again.
What’s wrong with you Plex ? :frowning:
To clarify :
I’ve installed the very latest public version of the synology version, the very latest android client version on my phone, the very latest windows client version on my pc. Disabled VPN on my phone and pc… installed the very latest client version on my Nvidia Shield.
And yet, the problem still occurs. Why on earth my Synology plex server is disapearing from my account as soon as I try to reach it from outside my local network or another device ?

It appears nobody is actually sharing their logs so Plex could troubleshoot the issue.

Is this place a safe way to share some exhaustive logs, that, I believe embed some sensitive datas maybe ?

You are welcome to message me the logs directly by clicking on my username/avatar then the message button
