Restarted server and entered my Movies Plus library, and you guessed it, instant crash as soon as I started scrolling slowly through the library.
I tried to Refresh Metadata for the Movies Plus library (1307 Movies) but the server crashed part way through the process.
Logs, just in case:
Plex Media Server Logs_2023-03-28_08-34-48.zip (721.2 KB)
BTW, the .dmp files on the DS1815+ show the same errors as on the DS1813+ in WinDbg.

WHERE did you get that tool? I need it
-
Go into the different cache directories and delete everything in them.
Something tells me it’s ■■■■■■■ itself and can’t use already existing images
WinDbg can be downloaded from MS. It’s Windows only as far as I know though.
The \\PlexStation\PlexMediaServer\AppData\Plex Media Server\Cache\PhotoTranscoder
folder has over 6GB in it, does that sound right to you?
I guess it is correct, the DS1815+ has 7.6GB in that folder.
I am deleting everything now, will take a while though.
NOPE! They aren’t clearing it. Trash all of it
I bet it’s trying to load all that into memory
I will file ANOTHER GHI on that not being cleaned up
Hmmm … that might be the difference between the two NAS, the DS1813+ has 4GB RAM and the DS1815+ has 8GB RAM.
IF that’s the case,
Send me the logs and DMP files.
I’ll hit them over the head with it
You should have enough logs from this thread … lol
Here’s the .dmp files from the DS1813+, let me know if you want them from the DS1815+ as well.
tmp.zip (3.2 MB)
thanks
Cleared the caches, restarted Plex, still crashes when trying to scroll through Movies library.
Does not seem to have an issue scrolling through the TV Show library though (342 TV Shows).
I cannot even enter the Movies Plus library, without the server crashing now though
4 or 5 crashes later and I can enter the Movies Plus library and scroll through it slowly, a page at a time. If I try to scroll quickly or use the jump menu, then the server crashes again.
Oh ■■■■. that’s not good
No, NOT good at all.
I have to restart the server so often that I am considering a permanent shortcut to do it for me … lol
Rename the AppData and start fresh
