Since latest Windows Update Plex crashes when trying to play any HEVC file with hardware acceleration checked. File plays ok with hardware acceleration unchecked.

Any idea which windows update (kb)? I have had my Win Updates turned off for some time now, never have had any issues at all w/ PMS crashing yet. It’s dedicated to PMS so i dont care about the Win Updates.
It was Feature Update 1903 that broke it. I just rolled back Windows to version 1803 and hardware transcoding is working fine again.
Settings > Update & Security > Recovery
If you upgrade to 1903 and replace mfplat.dll file with the one in the 1803 or 1703 then it solves the crash too.
