Plex crashes during start of daily scheduled tasks

Server Version#: 1.30.1.6497
Player Version#: 1.59.1.3398-dab42972

Every single day without fail (for the last 10 or so days) Plex has been crashing a few minutes in to starting scheduled tasks (2am). I have switched the scheduled tasks to start at other times and each time it starts the scheduled tasks, it crashes. I have been using Plex for 8+ years and have never encountered this issue before. I am also running the latest build of Windows 11 with all current updates.

In addition to my logs that I’ll attach, here are some other relevant event viewer and memory dump info:

All your logs show it crashed doing this.

Dec 20, 2022 14:23:02.004 [7164] DEBUG - Butler: Scheduling loudness analysis for album 135063.

Looks like a bad file causing this. Find that album and remove it. That should stop the crashing.

Edit - To identify that album, call up the xml info for any thing you have. Find the URL, you’ll see near the beginning, “/library/metadata/12345?..” It won’t be 12345, that’s just an example. Your number will be different. That’s the ID for what you are looking at. Change that number to 135063 leaving everything else the same and hit enter. That should bring up the page for the album in question.

Thanks! I appreciate the tip for narrowing down the culprit.

Btw, it does look like there is a loudness analyzing bug. Check out this thread: Plex Media Server Crashes Overnight Since Update: 1.30.1.6483 - #43 by WilhelmStroker

This will be fixed in 1.30.2 and the crashes are due to database anomalies - in this case it is most likely because there is a missing entry in the database for 135063
