I have been using plex for for over a year with my windows 10 desktop with any issues and recently it just crashes as soon as I open plex. I have tried reinstalling and rebooting several times.
Having a similar issue. Brand new desktop installation of Windows and Plex Media Server. I installed Plex prior to installing Windows Updates. Worked great, then the updates were installed and now Plex won’t run. Uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times, no joy. Installed the Plex client, no problems there, but of course it can’t see my Plex server.
I just found that you need to load this Windows 10, Plex for Windows app and manage the server from there. The server no longer has a GUI interface of it’s own.

Yes I do have the windows client as well but the problem is not with the client. The media server crashes immediately after i start it. I see the icon in the system tray for PMS show up then it goes away after i hover over it again which indicates that it crashed.
