Plex server crashes when trying to stream to a FireTV, works fine on mobile ios devices. This issue just started in the past few days. Anyone else having a similar issue or thoughts? Have used Plex for quite some time and this is the first issue.

Yup, I’m seeing random crashes depending on the player and content being played. Is probably related to the updates that were done over the last few days.
What player version is this?
@nx6, its 7.23.0.13123 on my phone. It plays music fine but crashes when trying to play a movie. I’ll get the TV player version when I can from the user.

@drslevy: I was wondering about the Fire TV since there’s supposed to be a new version soon on it.
@13trav Yeah. That’s the version my Fire TV has but I’m not having any issues. I wonder it it’s only with certain server versions.
@13trav and @nx6, I reverted back to Server version Version 1.18.0.1913 and I have no crashes. So theres a bug in 1973. I wont update until there’s a newer version.
Good to know, is there a faq on how to revert back to prior versions?

Uninstall the current version and then install one of the previous versions. your library will still be there and all files, settings, and logs as long as you don’t do an advanced uninstall and delete everything.
Exactly the same here. As soon as I press play on the Fire TV app. Plex media server crashes and closes.
Playing on Android phone, everything works fine!
