Plex crashes whole server

Hi All,

I’m getting an issue where Plex is crashing at least once a day on my Unraid server. It was running in a docker. It doesn’t just crash the docker image, but takes down the whole unraid server. Tearing my hair out trying to solve the issue.

I thought it might be the issue some others are having with end credit detection, but disabled and it didn’t work.

I have also tried creating a VM on the Unraid machine, migrating my plex to that so its outside docker. Still crashes and takes the whole of Unraid with it in that scenario.

My latest try was to completely install Plex fresh with a new DB in case there was something with my old config that was causing problems. That also crashed sometime between last night and this morning.

Have just tried disabling hardware encoding to see if that maybe solves it.

Attached my server logs in the hopes that someone can look at them and spot something that would cause the issues.

So disabling hardware encoding made no difference - just crashed again. Hopefully someone here can see something in the server logs that might point me in the right direction.

I’d disable all the nightly tasks and see if it quits. It has to be one of them and particular media file(s).

I’ll give this a try, but not hopeful as it seems to crash during the day too. Will report back
