PLEX Crashing On TCL Roku TV

Server Version#: 4.12.3
Player Version#: 9.2.0 build 4502-93

The app was working I installed Apple TV app. When I open Plex, it splashes Plex and crashes immediately. I removed the Apple TV and Plex app. Restarted Roku. Reinstalled Plex and it continues to happen. I’ve also done a factory reset with no change.

Roku TV C103X
Serial X00000E5496P

No idea why this would help but I removed all the TV inputs (HDMI stuff) and Plex launched fine.

Can you check if there are any Roku updates for the TV itself. They were having an issue with lots of apps crashing

No updates are available.

Are you sure that is the right version number? our app is currently at version 6.4.10 not 9.20

Same here. I was watching a video via Plex this afternoon. My Roku 2 rebooted mid-watch and when it came back up, The app stopped working. When I select the App, I see the logo, then it returns to the Roku Home menu. Same with the Plex Preview and Plex Retro apps. Version listed on Roku is V6.4 b10. I also have a Roku Streaming Stick that is exactly the same - opens then closes immediately. Checked system updates - none available. Plex version is from Jan 28. Why did it just stop working across both my Roku platforms. My Plex server still works via web, Android, and Smart TV. Just no Rokus.

Oh, that’s the TV version sorry. Plex is 6.4 build 10

I’m not sure if Roku is taking a while to get the update to everyone but this their forum where folks are having issues with more than just Plex https://community.roku.com/t5/Channel-Issues-Questions/Channels-wont-load/td-p/541160

Same, I can use plex in my Roku

A reboot just now fixed the issue for me (and I had rebooted several times to no effect earlier). Per https://community.roku.com/t5/Channel-Issues-Questions/Channels-wont-load/td-p/541160, it looks like it was a Roku issue.
