Last night, I updated my server to 1.18.4.2171. This morning, the Roku app is crashing after roughly 10 minutes of playback, consistently. I’ve seen this on two separate Roku devices (different models). I’ve tried restarting both Rokus. I don’t know of any way to gather debug information from Roku, so I’m not sure what I can to do to help debug this.
Yes same thing happening to me. I’ve tried rebooting the Plex server, restarting the rokus and the server, uninstalling the Plex channel and re adding it. This is awfully annoying… is there an easy way to go back to the previous version? This one’s obviously fubared
Having the same issue on a Roku Premiere+ … Tried even doing a factory reset to the Roku and restarting the plex server, Plex always stops and goes back to the Roku menu screen after about 10 mins of playing anything. Doesnt matter if it was saved shows or live TV.
This is happening to me too. Things I’ve tried? Restarting computer/server. Unintalled/reinstalled Plex channel on my Roku Ultra. Restarted ISP gateway. This started about 7:30 am (give or take) Eastern time 1/20/2020. At first, I thought I was trying to watch corrupted files or something causing the crash. So I went to watch something I know has played perfectly in the past, and it crashed too…the time it crashes is random. Sometimes after 5 min’s, sometimes after 7 minutes and sometimes sooner. Not sure what to make of it. Is it ROKU or Plex?
The same thing happening here. After about 10 minutes the app crashes and im back on the roku home screen. I am currently on version version 1.18.0.1944
Well so far I’ve made it 20 min’s in without a crash watching an HEVC 480p TV show that crashed after 5 min’s earlier. I also forgot to mention I did a factory reset too and using the latest version of PMS. I wonder if deleting the Plex channel and reinstalling helped?
Hi my roku app has started doing the same thing. all working fine on the 19/01/20 but today i turned it on and all shows will kick out of the plex app back to roku after about 4m of playing.
i hadn’t updated my plex media server for awhile so i tried a update but it is still doing it. if it wasn’t the PMS that caused it perhaps a plex app update happened since the 19/01 on roku?
anyone know if its possible to download the last version of plex app to roll it back?
Well I had the same PMS version as I have now for the past few days. Have touched nothing. All was fine until this morning. This is the version my PMS is and it says no updates available, so I’m assuming I’m on the latest. I can’t remember when I updated it last but I’m guessing a week or more ago.

Honestly I hadn’t done a manual update in awhile. But when I try it says I have to the latest version so I think they must happen automatically… so I’m on the newest version
I have no clue. I don’t frequent the forum because I rarely have problems. But I will say this, for me, the problem has stopped. (at least for now) because I’ve almost made it through a FULL episode with no crash (the same episode that kept crashing earlier)
It has stopped for me too…but I’m not sure if when I deleted the Roku channel and downloaded and installed it again, if that changed the version I was using. Anyway, it now says that I’m using 6.4.9.6153-6d1b63c9b. I made it through a full episode with no crash and now playing the next one with no crash (knock on wood).
i also tried deleting the app before my last post and am running the same as you mark40511 but got no luck as its till crashing for me. i just found and loaded plex preview from the roku website and testing it atm and managed to watch last 8m of a episode and onto the next without a crash touch wood
I’ve been seeing this issue this morning or the first me, 4 crashes over 20 minutes of a resumed episode of TV… nope, make that 5 just now… and because it was near the end, it’s now marked watched… grrrrr
