Some Plex employees took this notion even further during a recent internal hackathon: They built a way for Plex users to program their personal video collections into their very own linear 24/7 TV networks, for instance to curate TV programming for their children.
@elan and all other plex employees who never answer anything or help anyone, please consider this: With how terrible Plex’s implementation of Live TV is (just look at how bad guide data is), and years of people asking for PsedoTV type of plugin and with the newly one made by the community that still has many issues, FOR GOD SAKES RELEASE THIS FEATURE THAT YOU MADE FOR YOUR CHILDREN!!
We and our children would all like to have that feature.
thanks and keep up the good work. I’ll now hang up and listen.
This is a young but active project to create pseudo tv channels. It makes a fake video capture device and program data. I haven’t used it but it looks clever.
So @elan, maybe release it by the next pandemic? they come around every 100 years. Maybe you guys can put plexamp on pause for a bit and help your video customers, you know, the ones all of you ignore.
More frightening are sarcastic comments that mention pandemic in the first place.
People are still dying world wide each day… but hey, Plex did/didn’t do something and it pisses someone off.
Some people need to get a life and put things into perspective.
