Plex created a shared folder on my synology

I have a synology dsm 7
With the latest plex installed, and i just noticed that there is a shared folder named PlexMediaServer

It wasn’t there before. How do i remove the shared folder?

but what I am trying to understand is, why did it all of a sudden appear?
it was never there before.

because you updated to DSM7 and it has new requirements for installed packages.
this is what DSM7 now requires.

I think on DSM6 the Plex shared folder was hidden by default.

(at least that’s what it says in FAQ1 in the Synology FAQ (DMSM 5 & 6))
