Plex Dash history "wrong" when marking items "watched"

Yesterday I wanted to clear a TV series from my “on deck” section. Doesn’t really matter why, but I just marked the whole series “watched” because otherwise it just kept the next episode on deck.

Anyways, it seems that simply marking an item as “watched” actually goes into the stats history on the dashboard. It says I watched 149 episodes of that show yesterday. That seems wrong, at least to me. I was going to transition from Tautulli, but I do mark things watched for various reasons sometimes and the stats are pointless if they aren’t correct.

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I marked several entire shows as watched and boom, they filled up my watched stats… but… I did tell it I watched them. So I wasn’t surprised.

I guess I would like it to differentiate between things actually watched and things that weren’t actually watched. That’s the way Tautulli works.

Oh I agree with you. I wish it didn’t do it. But I kind of know what they wills say. LOL

Marking the whole show unwatched would also remove it from “on deck.” without the side effect.

Good option to know. I think I’ll stick with Tautulli for now but will check back in on the Dash app from time to time.

Just out of curiosity I tried what you said and interestingly it deleted all that previous history from the dashboard. The problem, though, is then it “unwatches” all the episodes I actually did watch lol. Either way it seems the stats get skewed.

Agreed with the sentiment, and we have an internal issue to track.
