Plex Dashboard won't load and Media won't play

About two or three weeks ago when I tried to load Plex I received the following message:

There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard
Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems

If I try to load any of the media, Plex reports “Playback error” “An error occurred loading items to play.”

I’m running vers. Version 1.9.1.4272 on a Mac Mini. All of the Media is stored on an external Drobo and everything was running just fine until a few weeks ago. I’ve checked the Media and I can load and play Movies, TV Shows etc. using iTunes or VLC. The Drobo is connected and the files are all in place.

I tried fixing a corrupted Library and that didn’t change anything. I deleted and reinstalled the Plex app, but still no love.

I don’t know if this is related, but I started seeing this, too:

Not available outside your network
Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have just about the same issue with with the latest update 19.1.4272 were the dashboard is not loading. This only happened after I did this update.

I finally got around to uninstalling Plex, and then reinstalling it. Plex appears to be up and running. (Under 1.9.2.4285).

I’m still getting the “not available outside your network” error, though – and that’s relatively new.

I’m getting things to play, but the dashboard for both my Plex servers can be insanely intermittent – the one on the music server routinely fails to come up.

I often get the failure to load the dashboard with the Roku and Android apps, too.
