I have filed this as a bug.

I experience what appears to be the same or similar bug with Mac version 1.26.0.5715. Looking at the Trash, it appears that all the shows being recorded (from my HDHomeRun TV tuner) having the setting to delete one day or seven days after watching are successfully recorded, then immediately deleted without ever being watched. (The date & time of the recorded file being added to the Trash are all within one minute of their modification date time.)
In contrast, the few shows set to never delete, are not deleted automatically.
I tried to see what the log files would show, but could not find any going back even 5 hours.
Is there any way to set the log file retention to be much longer?
Following up that this week on slightly changed behavior with one of the “recreated” recordings for The Late Show (Colbert) is now deleting as soon as the episode is finished recording I watched it happen as it finished tonight. The Record Options are set to
Keep: All Episodes
Delete Episodes After Playing: Never
The other two (Kimmel & Tonight Show) are recording properly for now.

There were also other date handling fixes so it is advisable to run a manual EPG Refresh through DVR Settings after updating to this version
