Plex Desktop Mac OS will not connect to Synology Plex Server

I cannot get Plex Desktop (MacBook Pro, M1, Safari) to connect to the server. I get error message “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to Server_Name securely.” I’ve read “How to Use Secure Server Connections”, but I cannot figure out what to do.

My Apple TV is connected to the server just fine and I can play videos and music. I turned the VPN on my Mac off, but no change.
