Plex desktop players can't stream channels but can play recordings

My Windows PC with Plex HTPC player and Plex player for Windows, and my Linux PC with Flathub Plex player can’t stream a few channels but can play the recordings of the same channels.

The channels perfectly work with Plex web app, on my Android phone and on my Google TVs. The problem concerns Plex players for PCs.

Is it a codec issue of the desktop apps? How can I solve this?

That’s because your channels have AAC audio instead of AC3. Been an issue on the desktop apps for years. Just going by assumption and experience.

Gotcha, you’re perfectly right! I’m able to control the encoding of the streams, I changed it to AC3 and now it’s working.
