Hi all,
Suddenly i can no longer hear AAC audio on my HTPC running Plex HTPC connected via HDMI to my Yamaha RX-V6A amplifier which is connected to my TLC TV. (eARC and CEC are disabled, I let my amp handle the audio)
It has worked previously and i am not sure what is happening now. The only files affected are files which Plex reports as having AAC audio. I can play the exact same file on my personal computer via Plex HTPC which has 3.5m jack speakers and have no issue hearing the audio. I can also play the same files on my Apple TV connected to the same amp and TV and, while at crappy video quality, can hear the audio with no issues. Files Direct Play to both my HTPC and my personal computer and transcode to my Apple TV
The issue is isolated to the HTPC and files using ACC audio.
Audio Device is set to NVIDIA High-Definition Audio Device
Audio Device Kind is set to HDMI
Audio Channels set to Auto (I have tried the 5.1 option as well as that is my speaker config)
All check boxes checked as my amp can decode all listed audio types.
Any advice would be great as it is driving me up the wall and i don’t particularly want to convert 100+ avi files to AC3 (which, upon testing with 1 file, worked)
I am running Plex Sever on another PC as a dedicated media server
Thanks in advance.
