Plex development "To Do List"

For as long as I have been using Plex, its frustrating for me (and probably others as well) to look through the Feature Suggestion posts and see something that has been sitting out here for YEARS and not one single thing has been done to implement it. Case in point, the way Plex handles different versions of the same movie. Its ridiculous to have the user distinguish the different versions by thinking everyone, including family members, will know which version is which based on resolution, frame rate, etc. This request has been asked for going back to 2012 in different variations of the same request.
Sure, the forum allows you to vote to show the developers the desire of the request, but what are they actually doing about it??? I’m pretty sure the Plex developers must meet together in some sort of fashion to go over issues/new releases, etc. If they don’t, it would lead to a dysfunctional way of doing business and would certainly explain why years of the same repeated requests fall on deaf ears.
If Plex REALLY wants to ensure customer satisfaction, especially from paying Plex Pass users, I would highly suggest some sort of “To Do” list that feature requests can tracked. This way, all users can see what has been suggested and the Plex developers can make an annotation on what can/will be done. If the suggestion is not going to be considered, say so. If the suggestion is being considered, say so. If the suggestion is going to be implemented, say so. Votes can be show as well…BUT the way the current process is, I can vote to my hearts desire but I have no idea whether the developers are even listening or even care.

This is what is said on the About Feature Suggestions Category from Plex:
“Timelines - We don’t share timelines or our roadmap. But let this not discourage you from sharing feedback with us. Every piece of information we get is helpful when we get together to discuss what we want to build next or how we should improve existing features and functionality.”
“This feature request has a lot of up-votes/comments. Why isn’t Plex building it? - Let this not discourage you from posting your feedback on the forum. We assure you that we review every request and will follow up if we have any questions.”

Why are Plex development “roadmaps” not shown? Yes, developers might be looking at the forum suggestions & chiming in every now and then…BUT that does not invoke confidence especially when numerous suggestions have gone on for years with a ton of votes. Posting a feature request “roadmap” would define the priority of the suggestions and organize them into possible releases. This would allow the stakeholders (Plex users) to support the development and product for its continued use.

Good idea. I really wish Plex would communicate better.

Plex developers support and interaction is horrible on this forum… they can learn a lot from Emby community!! Man… Emby developers are fixing things for you in a couple of days rather than years like Plex (or no answer at all). Really shame on you how this forum has been set up.
