Plex direct connection unavailable on same network

I’m running Plex on my Windows 10Pro 1093 and access my library through my Nvidia Shield TV, they are all on the same home network and all connected by cable.

Suddenly I am unable to get a ‘direct connection’ to my media server and my Shield TV tells me ‘plex direct connection unavailable’

I have not changed anything on my router, shield TV or PC that could have affected it, it just randomly started happening last night .

Does anyone have a fix for this please?

Many thanks in advance

I would just restart where ever the plex server is. And it could also be something with your port.

I’m having the same issue with my mac book and Amazon firebox. I’ve done everything short of sacrificing a virgin, and still can’t get my Firebox to load any of my media from my server. The server is telling me it’s not available outside my network, and no matter what I do, it wont enable remote access. The ‘manually specify public port box’ is checked, and I don’t know what that means either. It’s driving me crazy. I am not tech savvy at all, so this is especially infuriating to me. It was FINE three days ago, and now nothing works and I’m ready to burn it all.
