Plex Displaying Subtitles When None are Selected

Server Version#:1.25.7.2564 (running on TrueNAS)
Player Version#:9.02 (? latest ShieldTV version)

A few days ago, my Plex client (Nvidia ShieldTV) started displaying subs automatically when none are selected. I’ve never had subs just start showing on a track where “NONE” is selected before. I can fix (band-aid) it by doing one of two things:

  1. turn on a subtitle track (ie Spanish) and then toggle it right back to NONE
  2. force close Plex, clear cache and restart

Either option however, is only good for the current episode being watched. Once the next one begins, it is borked and I have to do the above all over again.

Here are my server settings:

Pretty sure I have these settings correct since, like I said, it has never been a problem up until ~2 days ago. I’ve watched many episodes of this series (ie same rip and subs, etc) with no issues before this time.

I had this problem last night. The file had no subtitle track, I downloaded 1, but it wasnt in sync, disabled it but it continued displaying. Stopped playing & restarted but it continued to display.
