I’ve been having an issue where subtitles randomly turn on automatically when watching shows via Plex. This has occurred with three different clients: Shield Pro 2017, Shield Tube 2019 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+.
Symptoms:
When it happens, it will typically do English subs, but sometimes do French or Spanish. When I go to the subtitle menu during playback, it will usually say that no subtitles are chosen, so I have to select one and then go back to “None” in order for them to turn off.(Only once has it actually said a subtitle was selected when turning on automatically) A few times, it has also chosen to have the subs at their smallest setting. This isn’t consistent at all, it will happen on one episode and then not the next.

Attempted fixes:
I’ve turned off everything I can find on the server regarding automatically choosing subtitles without any luck. I can’t find anything on the client-side that could fix this, but please let me know if I’m missing something.
I’ve reviewed the logs to see if I can see it turning subtitles on or something without any luck.
I’ve rebuilt the server twice by deleting the Docker and renaming the old data folder and creating a new AppData folder for it each time.
