Plex ignoring subtitles settings

Server Version#: Version 1.40.0.7775
Player Version#: Whatever version it updated to last night, Windows, whatever version Google Play says is the latest.

Plex is ignoring my subtitle settings. I have it set for always enabled, prefer sdh subs, only show non-forced subtitles,

The only subtitles plex chooses are forced. Always forced, never fulll, never sdh,

I have to manually select non-forced subs every single episode, every single movie.

What the hell am I doing wrong? Aside from being hard of hearing?

The settings you’re referring to are related to the on-demand subtitle search… not auto-selecting subtitles

my settings are exactly as that link describes, but they aren’t working.

As far as I know it is just picking the first English track in the file. If you get info on the file which English sub list listed firs

The two options at the bottom for SDH and Forced have nothing to do with selection
