Plex displays both my personal movies and "official" movies in same library

On my Synology DS216+II , I set a folder for my movies, say “Plex Movies” which contains ONLY “official” movies (Robocop, Blade Runner, and so forth). Things worked perfectly.

Then created a completely separate folder into which I placed my personal video clips. I did not create any Plex library for it.

Problem: both my official movies and my personal clips show up into my “Plex Movies” unique library, as if they leaved into the same folder. This is totally unmanageable. I browsed your Help Pages and the forum but I can’t find the solution to this problem.

Please help.

Is the new folder for your personal clips under the same parent folder as your Movies folder?

For instance, if your structure is like this:

If your Movie library is configured to look at C:\Movies, then it will find everything in Movies, plus all of the child folders under Movies, so it will mix your videos together as you described.

If your library is configured to look at C:\Movies\Plex Movies, then it will only find what’s in the Plex Movies folder.
