Plex does not find my newly added music

I have added some new content to my music collection, but Plex refuses to scan it. The files are in the music collection, along with everything else. The permissions match those of the rest. Files are also visible from within the container - i can see and list their contents.

I have tried to refresh my library several times, but the contents do not appear. However i can see some traces in the logs:

However those are not all the files and also the timestamps do not match the recent library refresh attemps.

Can you post a copy of your server logs ?

like which logs specifically? i have posted the entries relevant to the affected files. you want the whole zip file?

How many times have you parsed plex debug logs? Plex scatters information around in about half a dozen or so different log files. Relevant information could be in any of the plex server log files, could be a permissions issue, DNS issue, corrupt database, or a host of other issues. If you are not familiar with reading debug logs it could take a month of back and forth posts on this forum if we are lucky to figure that out. Getting access to unedited log files cuts most debugging down to a few minutes for me. Hell I am working on my own plex log scanner to identify common issues, but its no where near ready for publication yet.

so here they are. these leak a lot of personal info, tried to remove what i could
PMS_Logs.zip (1.2 MB)

And you completely butchered the information that that could be useful. I specificly called out UNEDITED log files in my post above. If you cannot provide basic information I am not going to waste more time on your post.

Line 6 of the first file already points to an issue, but because you edited the information I cannot provide any further assistance:
Dec 19, 2025 20:22:58.940 [124082770959160] ERROR - Error parsing allowedNetworks entry ' IP_ADDRESS_ANONYMIZED 24': Invalid argument [system:22]

You have also disabled all debug logging information making troubleshooting impossible.

nevermind, solved it by removing the files, rescanning the library and then placing them back into the media folder.

Glad to hear you fixed that, but there are other issues. Make sure you enable debugging logging and take a look at allowedNetworks in your settings
