Plex does not match properly IMDB tags (tt0871427)

OK. This question is not for the PLEX dev people What is going on with metadata matches? What used to work perfectly fine before the last 2 updates to the plex server (1.18.2.2058) currently seems to be broke. I understand it might be an issue with third parties like The Movie Database or IMDB but I simply want to bring it up to your attention. Another mini series which is completely mismatched by Plex even when using IMDB tag is " Babylon 5: The Lost Tales ([2007]). IMDB tag tt0871427. When plugging this tag into Plex “search” box, it comes with a completely different show. Hence my “what is going on here?”

Can someone comment, please? It feels like you make two steps forward and three backwards. This is not good.

A “Mini series” cannot be placed in a ‘Movie’-type library.

TheTVDB doesn’t list this as a mini series, but as a movie https://www.thetvdb.com/movies/babylon-5-the-lost-tales-voices-in-the-dark
But Plex doesn’t fetch metadata for movies from TheTVDB.

If you treat this as a “movie”, then you will still get no match with the default “Plex Movie” agent. Because it has only data for “Cinema movies”. But this production went straight to video.
So I recommend you to use the ‘Match/Fix Match’ command in Plex.
Then click on ‘Search Options’ and pick as agent The Movie Database.
Don’t forget to set the language selector.
