since a while, dont know exactly how long, whenever i add a new show or a new season to an existing show, plex fetches all info except the info from the episodes. it does however fetch the spisode names. first i thought perhaps plex had altered anything with the languages (i am from the Netherlands) so perhaps when season 1 or the main show info was in dutch, it tried to fetch all info in dutch and when this was nog available it would leave it blank . but now i added the second season of Paradise pd and this has nothing available in dutch and still plex doesnt fetch any info from tvdb.
issue is still not resolved for me. i only get the info for the show in general, the artwork and covers and the names of the episodes. but what the episodes are about is not being fetched. i will add my log files as soon as i have time to do so.
i just added season 15 of supernatural and season 4 of f is for family. both have the same problem. i checked on tvdb and there is episode info on both shows.
perhaps you can see what is going wrong. i am from holland so my language is set at dutch. but in the past plex would download everything in dutch and when that was not available it would download in english which is fine too.
i have edited preferences.xml. what does this do exactly? and i was under the assumption that plex supported my 916+ hardware accelleration
the video folder has been here from the beginning and has never caused any problems. i never use video station. so i dont think this will cause troubles in the future. plex has all the rights to the folders it uses.
i dont know it this means anything but when i try to open the url https://meta.plex.tv/tv_e/295759/supergirl/2015 manually it gives me an error message not found. so is plex trying to fetch the data at the right place?
have tried the plex dance many times since this problem began a while ago. same effect. everything downloads from the show. except the episode info. i have changed nothing in my language settings and some shows dont even have dutch info so there can be no confusion to plex which language to download.
i just added a show which has dutch episode info and plex fetches it perfectly. so it only seems to be a problem when plex needs to switch to english when dutch isnt available. i havent changed anything in my settings. has plex made any differences internally? was it always meant to download first in the set language and if not available in english?? and can i perhaps change a setting somewhere to fix my issue?
