Plex doesnt pick up bbc one, bbc two, itv etc?

Hi all,

Ive bought a Hauppauge WinTV dual HD device which works perfect through its own software. I get all the channels that i expected. Ive tried connecting this to my Plex server but it doesnt find them all? so no matter what i select frequency wise or channel list… it never finds the main channels like BBC one, Two, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 etc. it just says 80 channels no matter what i do and then only ever finds about 35 channels… am i doing something daft? eveything i seem to do just doesnt work… ? any help will be massively appreciated.

Are you running PMS on Windows or Linux?

Select Freeview as the channel selection and ensure you use full UK channel scan as the transmitter specific one’s are wrong.

Hi, I’m using windows and have already selected freeview and used full… Still doesn’t pick up anything else…

Ah ok, sorry don’t have any further suggestions other than checking your logs but probably won’t help.

I use Linux and tried PCI cards but Plex fails to pickup HDTV channels so I ended up moving to a HDHomeRun which works ok.

I will second the HDHR tuners, BUT… Do the stations you cannot receive use some form of DRM copy protection???
