Hello everyone,
I have Plex Pass and I’m using Plex on an nVidia Shield TV Pro and another Android box. On nVidia Shield I have no issues at all: every movie is playing perfectly.
But, on that Android box, Plex doesn’t want to play anything from my collection. I have FX File Manager installed, too, and it’s playing everything without any issues. Just Plex doesn’t want to work at all.
I didn’t write the Android box model because FX File Manager is playing everything without any problems. The box is from my TV provider: TelusTV-21T Android Streaming TV Digital Box, Model # UIW4054TLU
The error I’m getting is: “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.”
Yes, the server is set to transcode on an USB SSD.
if it is enabled can you disable “Quality Suggestions” in the Video Quality row of settings. and if that is disabled can you also disable “Auto Select Quality” as well. Put both Remote and Local quality on maximum if they are not.
Something is off in that it thinks it is not allowed to use any bandwidth. Is this a remote or local device to the server?
08-29 15:55:02.450 i: [BandwidthQualityBehaviour] Original item bitrate is 12 Mbps, maximum allowed bitrate is 0 kbps whilst our bandwidth is 25.2 Mbps.
08-29 15:55:02.451 i: [BandwidthDetectionBehaviour] Suggesting to switch to Play Original Quality.
08-29 15:55:02.453 w: [BandwidthDetectionBehaviour] Skipping quality change notification, as we are currently using 0 kbps and would request 0 kbps.
So, I wasted my whole weekend trying to make Plex work on my Android box. I installed different profiles, tweaked the compose.yaml in Docker etc., I tried absolutely everything that I could find online: nothing worked.
The FX File Manager works, Kodi works, Jellyfin works. But this paid app doesn’t…!
