Content No Longer Playing on NVIDIA Shield

I have a Windows Plex Server and NVIDIA Shield 2017 connected via local hardwired Ethernet (static IP). For several years, it has played all items with ease. I have carefully encoded all my content to only use Direct Play codecs.

Recently, the Plex Shield app will no longer play ANY item; the loading spinner icon spins indefinitely. It sees the server and all content, but fails on playback. The tested content played fine several months ago, plays with no issues via Kodi on the Shield, and also other devices (iphone, Windows, etc…)

I have tried rebooting all devices (Server, Client, Network), updating all software on the server and client (Plex and OS), and completely uninstalling and reinstalling the Plex client on the Shield. I’m not sure what to do next.

Any advice on what next steps to take to troubleshoot the issue? (i.e. specific logging, downgrade to older software, etc…) Thanks in advance.

If you could provide the Android logs, it would be really helpful for us trying to diagnose the issue here

Thanks so much for providing instructions on how to access the Plex Android logs! They helped me troubleshoot the issue and all is working now. Thanks again!
