Plex doesn't see synology ds418

noob with plex and nas…it worked for a month when I first set it up and last week it stopped and no longer sees the NAS and the NAS plex package runs and then stops…no idea what to use to troubleshoot this…firefox reports this when I kick off plex from nas:
Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.11:32400.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

no idea how to t/s this.

that worked…thanks. Anyway to detect that and send out a meaningful error message? Also, what would cause a trashed database and how can we avoid it, if possible?
