I don’t understand what other logs you need.
The app on the iPhone is not crashing but behaves so slow that it’s unresponsive. Takes awhile to load the app, then the Home menu takes more than a minute to show few covers, then when tapping to go to the main menu takes also several minutes and when you land there it is completely unresponsive.
Please see the image I attached on my previous post. Each option is repeated several times. In other words, the app is unusable.
There is 27 Gb of music downloaded into the iPhone, but not able to use the app and listen anything. Not able to play anything or do anything since several days.
I’m guessing the app in the iPhone was auto updated to the latest and since then is unusable.
Im glad they got the sync feature to finally work in offline mode. they had it possible if you kept a really old version on your phone. so every time you update all apps you gotta exclude plex. so the other day decided to try the new version and finally the new version was able to play the sync list offline. yay!!! i agree though it needs to be integrated better. but be careful of your requests, they just might break the functionality for years to come. and you random try the new version to find out nope. Basically Functionality is the best we can hope for here.
What? You said before
The app keeps crashing
Or do you just mean this time it didn’t crash? This is what I’ve been looking into. If it’s not a crash, but something else, I haven’t looked at that since that’s not what I was looking for. Please clarify what I should be looking at.
It crash but now the main problem seems to be even worse, unresponsive. But just read what I said above in my last post. Could you comment something?
The app NOW is unusable. Still you did not say anything about the screenshot of the main menu that I attached. The app is completely unresponsive and unusable. I also attached a log, nothing there?
I ended up uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again. Now I do not see anymore the dupped menu entries and it seems to be responsive again. But this was a painful solution. I’m in the process of downloading all the music again.
Is there a limit of on how much music to download in the Plex app?
I need the log from the Plex for iOS app. The server logs don’t reveal anything.
Explain me how someone could send the log when the app is not responding as I described above.
I also said that I had to uninstall the app and install it again, so I’m attaching the app logs as you are requesting but how that will help if this is a new install?
PlexDebugInfo-7.28.1-1 (2022-02-14 19.11.27 -0800).zip (6.0 MB)
Ah sorry. I missed that you already reinstalled the app. If this happens again, please try to grab the logs before uninstalling the app.
Are you having any issues downloading now? I’m seeing something odd in this new log.
The app crashed again today Tuesday 15 around 10 or 11 AM PST. Find attached the iOS log:
PlexDebugInfo-7.28.1-1 (2022-02-15 18.18.05 -0800).zip (7.5 MB)
You did not comment anything from my previous attached log.
Here you have another crash from yesterday. Find attached the log
PlexDebugInfo-7.28.1-1 (2022-02-17 21.32.57 -0800).zip (10.3 MB)
Today (Feb 18) the app crashed again ![]()
I can keep adding logs for every crash. The sad thing is that the feedback getting back is so poor.
Here is a new one:
PlexDebugInfo-7.28.1-1 (2022-02-20 16.34.55 -0800).zip (12.2 MB)
Are you grabbing these logs right after they crash? I’m not seeing anything near the end of the logs. Can you provide the times it happens when you provide the log.
This log doesn’t cover that time period.
So you do not see the crash there (I’m not sure about the exact time so I provided an approximation).
But what about the other last 2 logs? If you can not see any crash in the last 2 logs I’ve attached it means that the Plex app is not properly saving the coredumps and catching the event, or logs being rotated.
What should I look in the log to check if a crash is logged or not?
The logs just resume when you reopen the app so I can’t tell when a crash occurs. It’s best if you get the logs right after reopening the app right after the crash so I can check the end of the log. Otherwise, you’ll have to give me a more precise time on when the crash happens so I can look at that specific time frame.
There is some odd logging going on that is filling up your logs, I’ve already reported that and it’s fixed in the latest beta so your logs won’t be so crowded in the future. It doesn’t help with the crash but should make it easier to find. Right now, your logs get filled pretty quickly so any old information is lost.
Edit - To be clear, the crash won’t be logged as such. I have to review what is going on at the time and see if a request or something doesn’t finish.
Here there is a new crash. This happened Friday 25 at 18:30 PM PST. The log was sent immediately after I was logged again into the app after the crash.
Please comment about your findings.
Thanks.

and… today the app crashed again just right now. Here is the log:
PlexDebugInfo-7.28.1-1 (2022-02-27 16.37.51 -0800).zip (13.0 MB)
Anything?
I do see the app restarting, but I’m not seeing anything consistent on why it crashed in the first place.
The only thing that sort of happened before both events is that it was checking what media is available on your device. Can you look under settings → sharing and turn everything there off is anything has been enabled.
The 2 options in the sharing screen were already off, so there was nothing already enabled.
Here you have a new crash that just happened right now when my wife tried to show me that in the sharing screen everything was disabled:
PlexDebugInfo-7.29-2010 (2022-03-03 16.44.35 -0800).zip (13.2 MB)
Not sure what else to do to help to find the problem. I could keep uploading logs but if the app is not logging the events that cause the crash then we are running in circles.
Let me know what else to do.
Any update??
Since I’m not getting any feedback here is mine: Please find attached another crash
